Season starts with fantastic '4'

Mohun Bagan has started their season in an elegant manner. Today they faced George Telegraph,the team which is known as giant killer in kolkata football. The final score line is 4-0 in favour of Mohun Bagan.Karim started the game with 4-4-2 formation.Sangram,Deepak,Rakesh,Mohanraj,Surkumar,Snehasish,Micky,Kuluthungan,James,Marcos & Chiddi were in the first eleven. Today Karim used Marcos in a new position. He was supporting striker with Chiddi. The first half was almost one sided.Mohun Bagan got early goal.Chiddi headed the ball from Marcos’s cross to make 1-0.After a few minutes Marcos’s head was brilliantly saved by George goalie from handshaking distance. Then Mohun Bagan got penalty when Chiddi was pulled down in the box.Chiddi’s casual shot went above the crossbar___golden opportunity missed.Mohun Bagan was coming close to goal several times but couldn’t convert. So there was only one question among Mohun Bagan crowd.When,when & when? The ‘when’ became ‘now’ as James Singh headed the ball from Marcos’s corner and the ball went into the corner of the net and made the score line 2-0.After a few minutes Chiddi got the ball from Snehasish’s through. This time he was not that casual. First half ended up with 3-0 in favour of Bagan. We expected a goal rush in the second half but Mohun Bagan was bit slow in that half may be because of the 3-0 advantage. Using this,George started counter attack based football. In one situation Sangram was beaten but the ball hit the crossbar. In the second half Karin introduced Suvokumar in place of Marcos,Santa in place of Snehasish & Suroj in place of Chiddi in time interval. Overall,second half was not that impressive.Before few minutes of the match Suvokumar got the ball nearly 35 yards far from goalpost.He didn’t mind to use his signature left footer to disappoint his former coach. This was a world class goal. Finally the match was over with 4-0 in favour of Bagan. In this match all eyes were on latest recruit Surkumar Singh.He deserves letter marks from this match. Still there were some miscommunications in defense & midfield.Marcos looked uncomfortable in his new position.Karim Bencharifa must take care of these. Last season Mohun Bagan started with 3-0 score line and finally ended up with 3 trophies. This season they have started with 4-0.Does anyone believe in numerology here??
