When legend steps towards 86

To someone he is ‘Manna da’,to some one he is ‘Manna dadu’.Yes, we are talking about the great footballer, the living legend Mr.Sailen Manna. Yesterday was his 86th birthday. MOM members were present at his place to celebrate his birthday with him. MOM feels proud to congratulate MR.Sailen Manna on this very special occasion.Mr.Sailen Manna was very happy and blessed MOM members. MOM stole some of the precious minutes from Mr.Sailen Manna. He shared his views & thoughts with us. He encouraged us to continue our work for Mohun Bagan and for Indian football. Our member Nilendu & Snehasish da had a one to one with MR.Sailen Manna. MOM: Congratulation Sailen babu.MOM wishes you a very happy 86th birthday. Mr.Manna: Thank you. I heard about MOM at past. I saw your work on Mohun Bagan day. You are doing fantastic job. In future continue to do your work for Mohun Bagan and Indian football. MOM: What is your view about India teams win in Nehru cup? Mr.Manna: I am feeling very happy. Bengali boy Subrata played very good football that makes me happier. I hope India will continue to play like this. MOM: Do you think that Indian football is progressing gradually? Mr.Manna: Yes they are. We must keep one thing in mind that football cannot develop without development of footballers. I feel very sad when I see that no Bengali footballer is being produced. Big clubs are winning matches depending on foreigners only. MOM: Any message for Mohun Bagan supporters? Mr. Manna: Convey my best wishes to Mohun Bagan supporters before the beginning of the season. I hope Mohun Bagan will have a great season this year too. MOM: Many many thanks to you for giving us your invaluable time. Mr.Manna: It was nice talking to you. Thanks to you too. Finally,Mr.Manna was presented with sweets,a wonderful flower bouquet consisting of 86 red roses and the very special MOM memento and lots of love.
