Former Mahindra United and East Bengal midfielder, Sushant Matthew has been signed by the Mariners to strengthen their midfield. Matthew has been signed on loan from East Bengal. He was out with an injury for most of this season. Even after becoming fit, he was not getting a place in East Bengal's starting line-up or the bench, as Mehtab Hussain and Subodh Kumar were in a good form. He was thus released by KEB.
