College Football : He was the captain of R.G.Kar Medical college football team in the year 1952 and 1955 to win Illiot shield for college.
His first appearence in Kolkata football league was in Milan Samity club and after that he joined Bali Prativa club and after that Bengal Nagpur Railway (B.N.R) Team.
First big club in kolkata football : Mohunbagan Club from 1952 to 1959.
Achievement for Mohun Bagan :Mohun Bagan Won the DURAND cup football tournament under his captaincy for the first time in the year 1953(Mohunbagan 4 - National Defence Academy 0)
In 1954 Mohunbagan had the rare distinction of winning IFA League and IFA Shield.
For the first time in the year 1955 Mohunbagan won the ROVERSE Cup defeating rival Md. Sporting 2 - 1 in the final.
Badru Banerjee was the top scorer in IFA League for Mohun Bagan scoring 10 goals.
